Don joined the firm in 2003 as a Senior Vice President and Co-Head of the Valuation and Consulting Services. He draws on thirty-five years of experience in valuation and real estate counseling activities and has a broad base of clients including law firms, corporations, and public agencies. His has an extensive background in litigation support and expert witness assignments, arbitration and mediation matters, and general real estate counseling efforts.

He has significant experience in the evaluation of investment property in conjunction with acquisitions, sales and financing matters. In addition, he has prepared appraisals for lease renegotiations and disputed option clauses, purchase options, estate and federal tax matters, property tax disputes, eminent domain actions, site contamination cases and reuse purposes. He also has broad experience in highest and best use studies, project feasibility, and re-use strategies. In many counseling assignments, Mr. Bouchard has acted as part of multi-disciplinary teams with expertise across a broad spectrum of real estate issues. He also has substantial expertise in the evaluation of regional malls, department stores and development sites.

Mr. Bouchard has been awarded membership in the Counselors of Real Estate and holds the prestigious CRE designation. He is also a member of the Appraisal Institute and holds the MAI designation. He holds real estate appraiser licenses in numerous states. He served the Appraisal Institute’s Massachusetts/Rhode Island Chapter as a Director and Officer for ten years. He is also a past President of the Massachusetts Chapter (2004). He is Chairman of the New England Chapter of the Counselors of Real Estate, serving for 2015, 2016 and 2017. He has also sat on the National Chapter Activities, and Membership Committees, and the Business Issues Sub-Committee. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
