LPC announced that it has been retained to sell a 72,312-square-foot auto dealership located on 22.43 acres of prime land at one of the most sought-after locations in Massachusetts.
Located at 53 Washington Street, across from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, the property is currently used as a Rodman Ford, Lincoln-Mercury auto dealership, which will move one mile down Rt. 1 in June. Centrally located between Boston, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island, 53 Washington Street offers an ideal location for a wide variety of investors, developers and users.
“We’re very excited about this project. It is expected to draw immense interest from potential buyers because of its strategic location next to Gillette Stadium,” said Mark Norton, a Senior Associate at Lincoln Property Company, who along with Senior Vice President Michael S. Edward, will market the property. “The site also shares a traffic signal with the Gillette Stadium, offering a rare opportunity for a potential buyer.”
The site offers superior access to one of the most vibrant and exciting growth markets in the Greater Boston region. Gillette Stadium is directly across Route 1, with easy traffic flow North and South. As Patriot Place continues to grow, the neighborhood has earned a reputation for high-end retail, restaurants and luxury hotel accommodations. New office buildings, along with a new orthopedic medical center for Brigham & Women’s Hospital were recently built in the area, establishing more regional sustainability for business development. Gillette Stadium is home to both the New England Patriots and the New England Revolution, in addition to numerous concert and entertainment events, giving the site high visibility with the opportunity to establish a signature asset.
“We are honored to be selected to represent this unique project by Don Rodman, an entrepreneur who has over 50 years of unparalleled professional and charitable achievements,” said Michael S. Edward.
Rodman Ford, Lincoln-Mercury will move to its new location on June 1st off Rt. 1 in Foxboro, just one mile south of the current store. The New and Used Sales departments, as well as Service, will operate from this location, with the Collision Center continuing to work out of its current building. Quick services like oil changes and inspection stickers will continue to be offered at the new location as well.
The automobile industry has been changed forever, and Rodman Ford, Lincoln-Mercury is adapting to it. “Ford is thriving during a difficult time in the automotive industry,” explained Rodman Ford President, Don Rodman. “We intend to thrive in the local market as well, by reducing our overhead and consolidating capacity, without sacrificing the outstanding service we are known for.”
