Boston, MA (September 19, 2019) – Lincoln Property Company has successfully completed a lease renewal and expansion for The Family Reach Foundation in Boston’s Back Bay. The nonprofit organization is located at 142 Berkeley Street and will move from the 4th floor to a 9,000-square-foot space on the 3rd floor. LPC Vice President Brendan Miller and Associate Mary Patalita represented the tenant in the transaction.

Family Reach is a national organization dedicated to eradicating the financial barriers that accompany a cancer diagnosis, a widespread issue known as Cancer-Related Financial Toxicity (CRFT). They work with patients and healthcare professionals at more than 400 top-tier hospitals and cancer centers, striving to reach more families before they hit critical financial breaking points. Through their solutions-oriented Financial Treatment Program, nationwide events, strategic partnerships, and generous community support, Family Reach disrupts how cancer financially affects families.

“Family Reach is growing rapidly and the building’s central location was critical for their employees,” said Miller. “It was vital that we found a long-term solution that minimized relocation costs and provided continuity for the organization. We were fortunate that the building ownership recognizes the foundation’s impact on the community and is a supporter of their mission.”

Family Reach’s CEO Carla Tardif remembers when the organization first came to the building five years ago.

“It was such a huge leap of faith to get into this building,” said Tardif. “We were a small organization at the time just looking for a home. The building owners made this possible because they believed in our mission and if it wasn’t for them, I’m not sure we would be where we are today. The location is centrally located, meets all our needs, and allowed us to attract top talent. We’re so excited for the new space where we will build the National Headquarters on Cancer Related Financial Toxicity.”

The landlord was represented by Peter Bean of Boston Realty Advisors.
